The more you celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate. –Oprah Winfrey

Emma and Ethan woke up buzzing with birthday excitement. They rushed downstairs, expecting to see the usual pile of gifts, but instead, their grandmother, Sasha, handed them a small envelope.

“Today,” Sasha said with a grin, “we’re doing something different. A scavenger hunt!” The twins eyes lit up, and they eagerly tore open the envelope.

Inside was the first clue: “Look where the birds come to eat, and you’ll find the first puzzle complete.”

Emma and Ethan exchanged thrilled glances and dashed outside to the bird feeder. Sure enough, tucked underneath it was a small box containing their first puzzle—a jigsaw. They worked quickly, giggling as they snapped the pieces together. Once complete, the puzzle spelled out the word “Fun.” Along with the word, there was another clue: “Where we read books and let our imaginations soar.”

“Reading nook!” they both shouted, racing back inside to their cozy corner of the house. After some digging, they found the second puzzle tucked between the pages of their favorite book. This was a word scramble, and they eagerly began moving letters around.

“Race? No, that’s not it. Mace? Nope,” Ethan said, frowning. After a few wrong guesses, Emma laughed and exclaimed, “Cream! It’s ‘Cream!’” They shared a high-five, knowing they were one step closer. The next clue read: “Go to the place where we play, where swings and slides make our day.”

They sprinted to the backyard, beelining for the swings. Sure enough, the final puzzle was hidden under one of the seats. This time, it was a riddle: “What’s cold and melts in the heat?”

Both twins shouted the answer at the same time: “Ice!” With the three words—“Fun,” “Cream,” and “Ice”—the message was clear.

“Fun Ice Cream!” they shouted, realizing their grandmother had planned a birthday ice cream party. They rushed toward the park, where Sasha was waiting with a table full of ice cream treats, balloons, and decorations. Their friends were already gathered, and the twins squealed with excitement.

“Best birthday ever!” Ethan declared, licking his ice cream cone.

“Thanks, Grandma! This was amazing!” Emma added.

Sasha smiled, watching the twins enjoy their day, knowing she’d created a memory they wouldn’t soon forget.
